Standards
SPA's adopted documents, published as-is. These are the benchmark our member churches are held to. Any community may use them as a reference, whether or not they ever apply for membership.
Member Standards
The Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct adopted by SPA's membership. Twelve principles covering right relationship to power, protection of vulnerability, competence and scope of practice, informed consent before altered states, touch and consent boundaries, dual relationships, dependency on spiritual authority, financial accessibility, non-exploitation, non-retaliation, accurate representation of legal status, and integration as a community responsibility.
Standards Review Process Policy
How concerns about a member church are raised, reviewed, and resolved. Includes the required reporting language every member community shares with its congregation, and a plain statement of what the process can and cannot do.
